It's been one heck of a long time since I worked with PHP, so I hope I have got this all set up right! I will be customising the layout in the future.

Anyway. What's this site all about?

Well, I like to tinker with computers and consoles, repairing them and often making them more broken; customising them to be different - just having fun with stuff.

My first few projects are sitting around waiting for my spare time.

First is a PSOne which is very temperamental. I'll be stripping the laser unit down to see what's up and hopefully fixing it.

Second is a dead PC Mainboard. Sure, it's nothing special, a dual core Pentium D @ 2.8ghz. I can see it has popped a few of it's capacitors, but how easy it is to sort this out?

Third, a PSU that has died. This is gonna be fun. It croaked under heavy load (piece of crap - never trust dual 12v rails, always opt for 1 ninja 12v rail). At a guess, I am assuming a regulator has died. With the aid of a paper clip and my $8 multi-meter, I will be diagnosing and hopefully repairing it... but this'll probably end up being more broken as usual (but it'll be fun!)

There will be more content added as time goes on, both success and failures. In the future, I hope to be giving guides on creating your own modified hardware, and for those of you scared of a soldering iron, will be selling some unique hardware to assist all retro gamers in using modern hardware on retro computers.
